Section IV Class AAA basketball championships set for Friday at Watkins Glen Field House

The Watkins Glen Central School District in Watkins Glen says the Section IV Class AAA men's and women's basketball championships will be held Friday at the Watkins Glen Field House. Elmira Express, Ithaca Little Red and Corning-Painted Post Hawks are listed as participants, with good luck wished to all teams.

Gates open at 5 p.m. for all spectators. The girls' game is scheduled for 6 p.m., with Elmira versus Corning-Painted Post. The boys' game follows at 7:45 p.m., pitting Corning-Painted Post against Ithaca.

Digital tickets are required and are sold exclusively through GoFan at https://gofan.co/event/6189813?schoolId=NYSPHSAAIV. No cash tickets will be sold. General admission is $6.25, and a ticket is valid for both games. Children under 10 are admitted for free. Concessions will be available.

The girls' championship is listed as Corning-Painted Post High School vs. Elmira High School on 03/06/2026, live and on demand, and the boys' championship is listed as Ithaca Senior High School vs. Corning-Painted Post High School on 03/06/2026, live and on demand. Friday’s events at the Watkins Glen Field House will include entry gate openings at 5 p.m., with the girls’ game at 6 p.m. and the boys’ game at 7:45 p.m. Tickets are digital only, and concessions will be available.
