Utica Library Hosts “Then & Now” Exhibition Reception

Staff Report / Uticalocal.org

The Utica Public Library will host the opening reception for the "Utica Then & Now" exhibition on Monday, November 4, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This exhibition marks the fiftieth anniversary of Larry Pacilio's notable photographic series, "East Utica: 1973-4." A total of twenty-six photographs from this series will be on display for the first time since 1975.

Additionally, the exhibition will feature over 30 images from other photographers that showcase Utica's more recent ethnic communities. The exhibit is free and accessible to the public during regular hours in the library's second-floor gallery and will remain open until December 31, 2024. Pacilio's photographs are provided on loan from the Oneida County History Center.
